William Bagley and John Wild founded Bagley & Co. (formerly Bagley, Wild & Co.) in Knottingley, Yorkshire, England, in 1871. The business initially operated as a bottle manufacturing plant before diversifying into household crystal and pressed glassware in 1912. Before the business folded in 1975, Bagley & Co. was a major maker of pressed glass and swiftly rose to the top of the glass manufacturing industry in the UK.
