The oldest operating pottery in Australia is Bendigo Pottery. The pottery was founded by a Scottish immigrant in the 1850s, and throughout the course of 150 years, its fortunes have changed. A resurgence for the company, which has regained a reputation for excellence and creativity, was sparked by a revival led by Bill Derham in the 1970s.
